'Devastation' as people say they lost £4.9m on failed Wirral housing scheme

PEOPLE claim they were “forced” to sell their homes and left in “despair and distress” after a £12m “truly unmissable” Merseyside development never went ahead. The money, which came from people’s pensions, inheritance money, and savings, was invested into a major Birkenhead scheme but investors now fear they have lost a total of £4.9m.
